Tiny white flowers appear in clusters in spring giving way to white berries. Although favored by birds, the berries are mildly toxic to humans and may cause stomach aches. Tolerant of a wide range of conditions but prefers medium to moist soils. The species, Cornus sericea, is synonymous with C. stolonifera and is native to Utah.

Hardiness Zone: 3 to 8
